Who is behind EQness?
Hi, there, my name is Olga-Lucia Gamboa Arana, I am a Cognitive Neuroscientist , an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy coach, a mindfulness teacher and a dancer.
Why ACT coaching and Mindfulness?
My coaching is based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a form of therapy/training that has shown to be exceptional to develop psychological flexibility and promote positive behavioral changes, both needed to have mental, and emotional wellbeing and of course a meaningful, enjoyable and healthy life.
I love ACT because apart from being very practical and simple intervention, it also involves mindfulness and self-compassion practices, which have shown on their own to improve subjective well-being, increase psychological health and flexibility and reduce emotional reactivity.
Being a teacher of Mindfulness and Self-Compassion I having experienced these benefits at the personal level and with my students, which make ACT even more compelling.
My training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy includes:
– ACT for Depression and Anxiety Disorders
– ACT as a Brief Intervention (Focused ACT)
During this course, we will get familiar with the different aspects surrounding self-esteem in order to gain insight about how they affect our daily life
