Who is behind EQness
Hi, there, my name is Olga-Lucia Gamboa Arana, I am a Cognitive Neuroscientist, ACT coach, mindfulness teacher, and a dancer. Combining my skills I create personalized programs to support people’s wellbeing.
ACT Coaching and Mindfulness
My coaching is primarily based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a form of therapy/training that has proven to support the development of psychological flexibility and promote positive behavioral changes, both needed to achieve the mental and emotional wellbeing that will lead to a meaningful, enjoyable and healthy life. I love ACT because apart from being a very practical and simple intervention, it also involves mindfulness and self-compassion practices, which are powerful techniques known to improve subjective well-being, increase psychological health and flexibility and reduce emotional reactivity.
Being a teacher of Mindfulness and Self-Compassion I have experienced these benefits at the personal level and with my students, which make ACT even more compelling.
