Managing Stress in Social Situations
May 21, 2022 @ 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM CEST
50USD
Our need for interaction and belonging is rooted deep down in our biology.
We are social beings and our survival has depended on this fact.
Having meaningful connections give us a sense of belonging and protection and having the capacity to establish casual conversations with others further reinforces our perception of being a part of our community.
However, sadly we were not born with a set of social skills ready to go to make friends. We need to learn to socialize, as we learn to walk.
Lack of social interactions due to poor social skills has detrimental effects on people’s well-being. Studies have shown that people with social skills, experience less stress and have less risk of developing mental conditions compared to those without such abilities.
This workshop is dedicated to this topic. During this 90 min session, we will explore shyness and some of the obstacles we encounter when wanting to socialize. We will learn key aspects of effective communication and work on developing our conversation skills.
