We are spiritual creatures living a physical experience, then being that the case, we need to nurture this important aspect of ourselves. Often, we neglect this fact, because we confuse spirituality with religious obligations. However, true spiritual wellness is deeply intertwined with our overall well-being and is essential for maintaining the health of our mind, body, and heart.

There are many paths to enhancing our spiritual connection; one profound way is through Nature. This workshop leverages the ancient and beautiful spiritual practices of Bön Buddhism, which honors the five natural elements—earth, water, fire, air, and space—as powerful female entities. These elements serve as guardians that can be invoked when we feel lost or in need of protection and healing.
The Role of the Five Elements in Emotional and Mental Health
According to this ancient knowledge, each element governs a different set of important human qualities that are necessary to keep our emotional and mental systems healthy and to live a happy, peaceful life. When we are unable to move forward due to our attitudes, decisions, or behaviors and we feel constant pain or discomfort, it is because there is an imbalance in our elemental energies. Doing nothing to change the situation results in a loss of vitality and the fragmentation of our souls.
Soul Retrieval Practices: Healing from Stress through Our Elemental Nature
These spiritual practices, known as ‘soul retrieval practices,’ directly address the fragmentation of our soul caused by daily stress and pain. By engaging with the ancient wisdom of Bön Buddhism, we reconnect with the fundamental energies of the five natural elements—each representing vital human qualities. Facilitator Background

Dr. Olga Lucia Gamboa Arana, a cognitive neuroscientist, psychotherapist, and mindfulness researcher integrates her scientific expertise and practical knowledge into this program. Since starting her mindfulness practice in 2009, she has witnessed firsthand the transformative effects of applied mindfulness. This inspiration led her to deepen her practice and expertise, becoming a mindfulness teacher, and integrating mindfulness into her research, as well as in therapy and coaching sessions.
Her teaching style is open, direct, collaborative, and practical, tailored to support each individual’s unique path toward well-being
